Got my Vet Pack for just under $21. Question is, should I bother speccing into Cal Assault to improve the C-I BPO? I don't ever plan to use a rail rifle, but the fitting bonus to weapons is nice. Currently trying it as a pure shield tank. Thoughts?

Hmmm... How would the Combat Rifle pair with this suit in your opinion?

Heimdallr69 wrote:Cal assault is the worst assault. Do not spec it just for the bpo you don't even use the RR, it'd be a waste of sp. But if you don't have shields maxed then I'd do that. Msg me in game later and I'll make a few fits with a cal, is that bpo std or adv? It's std, and I have shield skills maxed. I'll message ya after work.

Add an active scanner & your good to go. Interesting. Do you find using the dmg mod helps more than an extra 55 shield hp?
The active scanner is something I never thought about fitting. I only use it on my Logi. Might have to swap out the K-2 for an advanced scanner.
I'll be trying these out with the cbr and acbr later today, but I'm a Logi, and killing ain't my thang. Prolly end in disaster.

I skilled into it cuz I have like 3m+ unallocated sp and it would be my 1st assault. the end of the day if your core skills are at 5 your good. Now 100k aurum to spend... Core 5 Dragonfly bpo..Gal scout. Lv5 (scan attempt prevented) no bpo.. Amr sentinel lv5 (1344 makes all the logis crazy) Covenant bpp.. cal assault Lv3 (0 into rr but slots for days) Yeah, I skilled into Gal Scout Lv3 so I could make my Dragonfly actually useful. It's the perfect link runner and annoying sniper fit.
The C-I though, I see no reason to spec into it. I can fit it exactly how I like with zero skills into it. What difference do you see with Lv3? Did you spec into solely for the RR bonus? Or for the extra few CPU/PG savings?
